How we work

To better follow the specific issues of the not always homogeneous sectors that characterize the "plastic planet", PlasticsEurope Italia decided to intervene in distinct operational areas, establishing Groups responsible for following the evolution of each individual issue from a predominantly product perspective, and Committees of experts called to carry out a consultative function towards the Steering Board, natural promoter of the Association's activities and its political directions.

It has the task of assisting the Association in the economic monitoring of the reference market and in the identification and development of the topics of greatest interest for the progressive improvement of the competitiveness conditions of the sector.

It addresses technical issues and prepares proposals for the technological feasibility of the regulations through specific working groups (Plastics in contact with food, Plastics in agriculture, Incinerators, End of life vehicles, Packaging, Disposal of electrical and electronic materials, Ecolabel, Pipes for drinking water ).

It promotes and coordinates information activities on plastic materials, on the basis of a structured strategic communication plan and disseminates the Association's positions on the main issues of the sector.

Serves in an advisory role in interpreting laws and examining the Association's legal issues.
