We are in Italy the point of reference for the plastics sector, which operates within Federchimica.

The history of the industrial representation of plastics producers in Italy arises within the Chemical Industry Association in the 1920s and takes on its current form in 1985 when, within Federchimica - the National Federation of the Chemical Industry - the major companies producing plastic materials, synthetic resins, thermoplastics, thermosets, advanced materials, compounds and auxiliaries for plastic materials and other similar products, decide to establish an ad hoc association for plastic materials, PLASTICSEUROPE ITALIA, and to work around to the same project.

A demanding choice, rewarded over time by extremely concrete results, and which today sees 42 national and multinational companies operating in Italy joining PLASTICSEUROPE ITALIA, with a total turnover equal to 90% of the approximately 7.2 billion euros relating to the entire national market.

PlasticsEurope Italia collaborates with the European Association of Plastic Materials Producers (Plastics Europe).

Plastic is a precious and irreplaceable material that must be valorised. PlasticsEurope Italia companies are committed to ensuring that it is used, recycled and recovered correctly.
